It was Friday, January 25 and Rachel in Prime Insurance Agency’s personal lines department was following up on a closing for a co-worker who was not in.

After verifying that the closing date for a Lakewood, NJ rental home was indeed scheduled for that day, Rachel got everything underway in order to issue the policy, effective immediately.

As the minutes ticked by to ending her workday before the weekend, Rachel grew concerned. Though she had submitted the respective quote information to the insurance carrier and emailed them numerously requesting urgent binder approval, she had not received any confirmation about proof of coverage.

The matter became critical. Before leaving, Rachel jotted down the insurance carrier’s contact information to refer to at home.
